The FSR Impact Fund supports the essential, day-to-day work of Family Service Regina
This fund strengthens Trauma-Informed Counselling, Gender-Based Violence Prevention, and Community Outreach programs serving individuals and families across our community. Contributions may help expand access to counselling, strengthen violence prevention initiatives, and increase outreach efforts that connect people to care and support.
FSR is committed to building safer, more resilient communities through care and connection. Our trauma-informed team uses evidence-based approaches to collaborate with individuals and families for lasting change.
The Impact Fund provides flexibility to respond to emerging needs while reinforcing the core services that help individuals heal, grow, and move forward. Through this fund, donors directly support compassionate, responsive services that enhance well-being and contribute to thriving communities.
Services that help communities thrive.
Services the Impact Fund can support:
Trauma-Informed Counselling
Family Service Regina provides trauma-informed counselling that recognizes how past experiences shape present challenges. Our counsellors use evidence-based approaches to support individuals, children, youth, couples, and families navigating grief, relationship conflict, violence, anxiety, depression, and other complex life experiences.
Healing is not linear. Our team collaborates with each person to build safety, strengthen coping strategies, and support sustainable growth. Counselling may include specialized approaches such as eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) and play therapy, ensuring care is responsive to each person’s developmental and emotional needs.
Gender Based Violence Preventions Services
Family Service Regina delivers programming that addresses the root causes and impacts of gender-based and interpersonal violence. This includes direct support for individuals impacted by violence, safety planning, support groups, and education initiatives that promote awareness while holding accountability.
Our work recognizes the complex dynamics of power, control, and trauma. Services may include individual support, group programming, and collaboration with community partners to strengthen coordinated responses.
Prevention remains central to this work. Education and intervention initiatives aim to reduce harm, promote healthy relationships, and support safer environments across the community.
Community Outreach
Family Service Regina extends support beyond our office walls through a range of Community Outreach initiatives.
The Young Parent Program supports young parents as they navigate early parenthood, life transitions, and personal growth. The program may provide parenting education, practical skill development, peer connection, and individualized support. By building confidence and stability during a critical life stage, the program strengthens the future for both the parents, and their children.
Library Outreach places crisis workers directly within community spaces at the Regina Public Library. These trained professionals provide immediate support, crisis intervention, resource navigation, and referrals for individuals experiencing complex challenges such as housing instability, violence, or mental health concerns. Meeting people in familiar community settings reduces barriers and increases access to timely assistance.
Our community outreach initiatives meet individuals where they are rather than relying solely on appointment-based services. This approach builds trust, reduces isolation, and lowers barriers to support. It reflects our commitment to accessibility, dignity, and connection.

Charity Legacy Fund Incentive
Thanks to the generous gift from an anonymous donor, the Saskatchewan Community Foundation is able to support the long-term sustainability of local organizations through the growth of Legacy (Endowed) Funds. For every dollar contributed to a charity's Legacy Fund held at the Community Foundation, we will contribute an additional 10% on an annual basis (up to $50,000 annually).* For the FSR Funds, the Charity Legacy Fund Incentive applies to the Legacy Fund only.
