Who We Are
Listen to Dis’ Community and Art Organization Inc. is Saskatchewan’s first and only disability-led disability arts organization. Since 2006, Listen to Dis’ has worked with d/Disabled artists to create original performance, music, and interdisciplinary work rooted in lived experience and disability culture.
The organization began as a small collective of artists exploring somatic movement, voice, and storytelling with disabled artist Traci Foster. Over time, it has grown into a provincial arts organization supporting disabled artists to create their craft, collaborate with peers, and share work with audiences across Saskatchewan.
Programs and Artistic Work
Listen to Dis’ delivers artist-driven programs that centre access, care, and creative excellence. Programs such as LTD’ Voice provide disabled artists with opportunities to create original work, perform publicly, and build confidence as creative leaders. Additional performances, workshops, and community-engaged projects support artistic growth while expanding public access to disability arts and culture.
Through this work, disabled artists are supported to experiment, take creative risks, and share stories on their own terms, while audiences engage with work that challenges ableism and broadens understanding.

I can proudly say that after becoming a member of Listen to Dis’, nothing can stop me — not my disability, and absolutely not fear. Through this organization, I have found my way to a professional career in the arts.
