Cultivate a Legacy:
Donate Your Farmland ~
Turn your farmland into a lasting legacy of generosity.
By donating farmland through Saskatchewan Community Foundation, you can support the causes and communities you care about — now and for future generations.
Three Ways to Donate Farmland
Outright Gift of Farmland
- Full donation now with a tax receipt for fair market value.
- Best done when selling other land or assets — it can help offset capital gains taxes.
- A Deed of Gift protects your wishes.
- Land is rented (with the help of Farmland Legacies) and income goes to the charitable causes of your choice.
Add Us to the Title (Retain Use for Life)
- You keep full control — we act as a silent partner.
- A dormant Deed of Gift is in place until your passing.
- You continue all rental and management decisions.
- After your passing, the land transfers to us, and your estate receives a full tax receipt.
Lifetime Beneficiary Options
- A flexible trust alternative without the complexity.
- Transfer the land to us and receive a full-value tax receipt right away.
- You retain control of rental income and decisions for life.
- Upon your passing, the Community Foundation continues to protect your agricultural legacy.
